"Origin footy means more to us Queensland kids".

I am a NSW supporter through and through and have been watching state of origin for as long as I can remember.  It's the highlight of the NRL season and every time it rolls around there is a buzz in the air, everyone, even if they don't watch much rugby, gets excited.  But I have to agree with Thurston, Qld have something that NSW don't.  They have a certain spirit or attitude that never gives up, they always have the last laugh, for example look at game one os this series where with a minute remaining Boyd crosses in the corner to rub salt into NSW's wounds.  

Ben Hannat is going to be out of play for 4 - 6 weeks with a serious knee injury, an injury he played almost 79 minutes with last wednesday night because no one else could replace him due to several other injuries. This is what origin is all about, he put his body on the line of Queensland and NSW needs more players like him.  

Another fantastic example of Queensland spirit is Dallas Johnson.  How many games has he been forced off the field with concussion? Too many for me to count that's for sure.  He continues to put his body on the line even though he knows the consequences will be severe.

NSW have a fantastic new breed of players coming through, I just hope they want it as much as Qld do.
